The Ajeya Warrior exercise is designed to enhance interoperability between the Indian and UK armies, similar to other joint military exercises. The first edition took place in 2013, with the second and third editions held in 2015 and 2017, respectively.

The most recent Ajeya Warrior exercise, held in 2023, took place on Salisbury Plains in the UK. The earlier edition, the sixth, was conducted in India in 2021.
