Understanding Haemophilia: Causes, Types, Symptoms and Cure

Haemophilia is a genetic disorder that interferes with the body's natural ability to form clots, a process crucial for stopping bleeding. This condition arises from a genetic mutation. More specifically, it involves mutations in the genes that play a pivotal role in blood clotting. Blood clotting is a complex process that involves 13 distinct proteins, referred to as factors I to XIII. Haemophilia A results from a deficiency of factor VIII, Haemophilia B from a deficiency of factor IX, and Haemophilia C from a deficiency of factor XI.
