IP and TAFS Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility for IP and TAFS posts is as follows:

Age

  • The candidate must be at least 21 years old to apply for the post. The maximum age for the IP & TAFS post is fixed at 30.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories are applicable for age relaxation.

Qualification

The applicant needs to possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

Number of Attempts

  • General category candidates can appear for the IP & TAFS exam a maximum of six times.
  • Candidates belonging to reserved categories are applicable for age relaxation.

Nationality

The candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Physical Requirement

Training of IP and TAFS Officers

The IP and TAFS officers are trained at the National Academy of Indian Administration (NAIA) in Mussoorie. The training at NAIA is for a period of one year. 

The training includes:

  • A foundation course to provide an overview of governance, administration, and public policy.
    • Specialized training in the following fields:
    • financial management, 
    • accounting procedures,
