The WBCS exam is conducted by the West Bengal Public Service Commission, a state authority responsible for administrative services exam to recruit the candidates to become officers. All the candidates should brace themselves to prepare for the mains exam. First they must clear the Prelims exam. Candidates in the WBBC Exam are provided the option to opt for the Optional subject for two papers along with four compulsory papers. It is the sole choice of the candidate which subject is preferable for them.

WBCS Sanskrit Syllabus

Sanskrit is the oldest and most uncommon language in the modern world. It might be tough to comprehend for some but easy for others. Those who have chosen the Sanskrit subject as their optional must go through the syllabus below. The WBCS has recently released its official notification regarding the syllabus of the Sanskrit Paper. WBCS Sanskrit Exam Pattern

For candidates who are appearing for the WBC Mains exam it is important to understand the pattern of the exam beforehand.

The Prelims Exam is mere qualifying in nature.

For the main exam, all the papers are important and conducted in descriptive mode. Total of 6 six papers out of two are optional. Check the exam pattern below:-

  • There will be two optional papers- Chemistry. 
    • Paper 1 – Sanskrit Paper
    • Paper 2- Sanskrit Paper
  • Both of these optional papers will be of the maximum marks of 200 marks each with a duration of 3 hours each and subjective in nature.
