- Once completed, the ropeway will drastically cut down the travel time from 2-3 hours to a mere 15 – 20 minutes.
- The estimated cost of the project stands at Rs 166.82 crore.
- The ropeway is designed for Yamunotri Dham.
- The ropeway will be of a mono-cable detachable type and will be constructed in line with the European standards prevalent in France and Switzerland.
- The ropeway will have the capacity to accommodate approximately 500 people per hour.
- Key Stakeholders: The contract for the project has been signed by the Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board in collaboration with two private firms, SRM Engineering Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and FIL Industries Pvt. Ltd. making it a Public-Private-Partnership (PPP) project.
