For the recruitment of the administrative officers in the Uttar Pradesh government, the Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission conducts the UP PCS exam to recruit eligible candidates to serve as administrative officers. It is an absolutely privileged opportunity for students to pursue their careers. The UP PCS exam is conducted at three levels: Prelims, Mains and Interview. UPPSC Geology Exam Pattern
After qualifying the Preliminary exam candidates will get an opportunity to appear for tier 2. For the main exam, all the papers are important and conducted in descriptive mode. Total of 8 eight papers out of two are optional. You can go through the exam pattern below:-
- There will be two optional papers- Geology.
- Paper 1 – Geology Paper- General Geology, Geomorphology, Structural Geology, Paleontology and Stratigraphy
- Paper 2 – Geology Paper (Crystallography, Mineralogy, Petrology, Economic Geology and Applied Geology
- Both the papers will be of 200 marks each with a duration of 3 hours each. Descriptive in nature.
