How Many IAS Officers Are Selected Every Year?

A total number of 180 candidates are selected for the UPSC IAS every year. The UPSC Pass Percentage is 0.2%. The civil services exam is conducted every year on a particular date for the selection of India’s most important and crucial officers. There are around lakhs of aspirants appear in the UPSC Examination but only 180 candidates make it to the final merit list. This is due to the recommendation of the Baswan Committee which was established by the government in the last decade.
