CDS Exam Centres 2025 for CDS 2

The CDS 2 exam will be conducted on 14th September 2025. While filling the online application form candidates have to select up to three exam centres as their preferred options for the upcoming exam. The exam centres have a ceiling in their capacity and the exam centre allotment is done on a first-apply-first-allot basis, which is why the candidates must fill the form sooner to get their preferred exam centre. Important Instructions for CDS Exam Centres 2025

The candidates appearing for the CDS exam 2025 must remember that exam centres are allotted to the candidates based on who has applied first for the particular centre. Given below are a few things that the candidates must keep in mind about the CDS exam centres:

  1. The candidates must enter the details of the CDS exam centres while filling the online application form.
  2. The allotment for the exam centres are done on a first-apply-first-allot basis. Once the capacity of a particular centre is attained the allotment for the same will be ceased.
  3. The candidates can select up to three exam centres for their CDS examination. If the capacity of their selected centre is attained, they will be allotted the next available centre.
  4. There is a capacity on the number of candidates allotted for each exam centre except Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Nagpur, and Dispur.
  5. The candidates who cannot get a centre of their choice due to the ceiling will have to choose a centre from the remaining ones.
  6. The details of the CDS exam centres such as address and centre code will be provided in the admit card.

Items Allowed In CDS Exam Centres

The following items are allowed inside the CDS 2025 exam center

  • CDS 2 2025 admit card
  • Valid photo identity proof
  • One or two photographs
  • Transparent water bottle
  • Face mask
  • Hand sanitizer

However, electronic devices such as mobile phones are strictly prohibited inside the exam hall. Candidates must bring the CDS admit card to the exam center to get permission. Designer and artificial products/things are not allowed to be taken inside the exam hall. It is important to abide by the CDS exam day guidelines 2025, ranging from the dress code to the required documents to carry and stationery items that are allowed.

Items Prohibited In CDS Exam Centres

The following items are prohibited inside the CDS 2025 exam center:

  • Mobile phone
  • Pen drive
  • Smartwatches
  • Pager
  • Bluetooth device
  • Stationery other than the ones allowed
  • Electronic gadgets and devices
  • Hand bracelets

Designer and artificial products/things. It is important to note that candidates must bring the CDS admit card to the exam center to get permission. If a prohibited item is accidentally brought to the exam center, it should be immediately reported to the authorities.

CDS Selection Process 2025

The CDS selection process is divided into four stages: written exam, SSB interview, document verification, and medical examination. The written exam of CDS is divided into three papers of English, General Ability Test, and Mathematics of 100 marks each. This exam pattern is not applicable for CDS OTA since the written exam does not have a mathematics paper for OTA. The questions are objective in nature with multiple choice questions. Each wrong answer can lead to a deduction of ⅓ rd of the marks assigned for that question. The details of the exam pattern for the CDS exam for all the posts is given in the table below:

CDS Exam Pattern for IMA, INA, AFA

Candidates preparing for Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy, and Indian Air Force Academy have to appear for three different papers for their written exam. The detailed CDS exam pattern for IMA, INA, and AFA is discussed in the table below:
