The Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC) has prescribed certain eligibility criteria for candidates wishing to appear for the HPPSC HPAS exam. As per the official websites, to be eligible for HPPSC HPAS 2025,
- Candidates must be citizens of India or subjects of Nepal, Bhutan or Tibetan refugees.
- The age limit is between 21 to 35 years as on January 1, 2025 with provision of age relaxation for reserved categories.
- Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in any discipline awarded by a recognized university or institution.
- The maximum age relaxation allowed is 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

HPPSC HPAS Educational Qualification
As per the HPPSC HPAS Eligibility, the candidates must have the following qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in India.
- A candidate who has appeared for the examination and whose passing will make him qualified for the examination, but has not been told of the result, may apply for admission to the examination.
- Applicants who have completed the final professional M.B.B.S. or any other medical examination equivalent thereof, but have not finished their internship at the date of submission of their HAS applications, etc., will be provisionally accepted for the examination provided that they submit, along with their applications, a copy of the university/institution certificate from which they have passed the requisite examination.
