Internet Exchanges – NIXI manages the exchange of internet data among Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and between ISPs and Content Delivery Networks (CDNs).

IN Registry – NIXI controls and operates the IN country code domain and भारत (Bharat) internationalized domain name (IDN) for India.

Indian Registry for Internet Names and Numbers (IRINN): NIXI also operates the Internet protocol via this registry.
Objectives of the National Internet Exchange of India
NIXI has several objectives, including:

Initiatives by the National Internet Exchange of India (NIXI)
The Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY) has launched three groundbreaking initiatives for NIXI:

IPv6 Expert Panel (IP Guru):
IP Guru is designed to provide support to Indian entities that are looking to transition to IPv6 but are encountering technical challenges. It offers technical support and guidance to facilitate the adoption of IPv6.

NIXI Academy:
The NIXI Academy was established to educate Indian citizens about technologies like IPv6, which are often not included in traditional educational curriculums. The academy encourages both technical and non-technical individuals in India to learn about these technologies.

NIXI-IP-INDEX:
The NIXI-IP-INDEX is a portal developed by NIXI for the internet community. It provides information about the adoption rate of IPv6 in India and around the world, allowing for a comparison of India's progress in adopting IPv6 with other countries.
