The RSMSSB Librarian post-Written Examination will be an objective type paper. The expected exam pattern and its details are as given below.

• The exam will consist of two parts, namely; Part A - General Knowledge & Part B Library & Information Science and Basic Knowledge of Computer.
• The exam will be of 300 marks in total, with Part A weighing 100 marks and Part B weighing 200 marks.
• With a total of 150 questions, each question carries 2 marks.
• There will be a negative marking of ⅓ for every wrong answer.
• The exam will be of a total of 3 Hours time duration.
• Candidates are now aware that there is a negative marking in the examination. Candidates should therefore mark the answers only if they’re confident about them. Giving a wrong answer reduces your total score.
