• If candidates find any discrepancies, they can submit objections until February 3, 2025, by paying a non-refundable fee of ₹200 per question.
• Candidates are allowed to submit objections against the responses of the Provisional Answer Key only.
• Challenges submitted without the processing fee or through any mode other than online will not be considered.
• A panel of subject experts will review the objections. If a challenge is found valid, the answer key will be updated accordingly, and the revised key will be applied to all candidates' responses.
• The final result will be based on the updated answer key, but individual candidates will not receive notifications regarding the acceptance or rejection of their challenges. The decision of the expert panel will be final.

The NTA releases the UGC NET Final Answer Key for all subjects a few weeks after the UGC NET Exam is conducted. Candidates can access the provisional answer key based on their chosen elective on the official website only. How to Download UGC NET Final Answer Key 2025?

The UGC NET Exam Final Answer Key is available on the NTA UGC NET's official website. Candidates who appear for the UGC NET exam may view and get the answer keys by going to the official website. The candidates can download the UGC NET Answer Key from the official website of UGC NET by following the steps to download the answer key listed below –

Step 1: Visit the Official UGC NET Website 

Navigate to the NTA official website and search for the “UGC NET Final Answer Key Released” notice. This will provide access to the latest answer key update.

Step 2: Click on the Notice

How to Raise Objections Against UGC NET Answer Key 2025?

Candidates who want to challenge the official UGC NET answer keys must go to the website, click on the answer key challenge page, and pay a challenge fee of Rs. 200 per question. The OMR sheets, answer keys, registered answers, and challenges that candidates have submitted are all advised to be printed off. If the candidates' objections to the UGC NET answer keys are valid, they will receive a refund immediately to their bank account. In all other circumstances, the fee is not refundable after payment. If the candidates want to challenge the UGC NET Answer Key, they can do so online by paying an objection fee of Rs. 200 for each objection. The candidates can follow these steps to challenge the answer key –

Step 1: Visit the UGC’s Official Website

Begin by visiting the official website of NTA. This is where you can find the link to challenge the answer key.

Step 2: Go to “Display/Challenge the Answer Key”

Navigate to the section labeled “Display/Challenge the Answer Key.” This option will allow you to view or contest the final answer key.

Step 3: Review the Instructions

You will be directed to a page with important instructions. Read through them carefully before proceeding to avoid any mistakes.

Step 4: Log in with Roll Number and Date of Birth

Go to the login page and enter your roll number along with your date of birth. This will give you access to the challenge section.

Step 5: Click on the ‘Submit Key Challenge’ Link

Once logged in, locate the ‘Submit Key Challenge’ link. Clicking this will allow you to challenge the answer key.

Step 6: Select the Question and Correct Option

After choosing the correct option, click on the ‘Select for Challenge’ button to confirm your choice for review.

Step 8: Proceed to Payment

Next, click on the ‘Make Payment’ button, which will redirect you to the payment gateway for processing the challenge fee.

Step 9: Complete Payment

Pay the required amount using your credit card, debit card, or internet banking. This will finalize your submission for the key challenge.

How to Calculate Marks Using UGC NET Final Answer Key?

All applicants who submit applications for UGC NET should know how each post's UGC NET cut-off is calculated. The Government of India's reservation policy is also followed here, dividing the number of slots available for JRF awards across several categories. The total marks can be calculated like this –

Total Marks = Number of Correct Questions * 2

• paper I consist of 50 questions for 100 marks (2 marks each)
• paper II consists of 100 questions for 200 marks (2 marks each)
• There will be no negative markings in UGC NET Exam
• Start matching the answer given in the key with what you have marked in the exam.
•  While matching the answers, you need to add (+) 2 marks for the correct answer. There is no negative marking and no marks to be assigned to un-attempted questions.
• Repeat this process for all the questions to know your predicted scores. Miscalculation is natural in this checking. That's why you do your checking twice.

The qualifying cut-off for eligibility for UGC NET exam for the SC category will be calculated by the total percentage that candidates received in the two papers that correspond to the number of vacancies. For all subjects and categories, cutoffs must be calculated similarly.
