According to CBSE regulations, a certain proportion of teachers must be CTET-qualified. For example, if a school employs 20 teachers, at least 10 of them must be CTET-qualified. For the remaining, a B.Ed. and postgraduate qualification suffice.

CTET 2025 Exam: Check CTET 9th to 12th Latest News

According to the latest updates, there will be no exam for Classes 9 to 12 before 2027. Now, NCTE has removed the plan for Level 3 and Level 4 exams. So, teachers for Classes 9 to 12 will continue to be recruited under existing rules until at least 2027. Earlier, NCTE had planned a four-level Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) structure.

  • The official CTET 2025 notice will soon be posted on the CBSE's website (ctet.nic.in). This announcement, which is anticipated soon—probably in August 2025—will contain important information about the application process, exam pattern, eligibility requirements, and registration deadlines.
  • Paper I will be used for teaching Classes 1–5, and Paper II will be used for teaching Classes 6–8, in accordance with the standard two-paper format for the CTET 2025 exam. Although official dates have not yet been announced, the exam is most likely set for December 2025.
  • CTET will not be expanded to cover Classes 9–12 prior to 2027, as the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has made clear. Until at least that year, the suggested four-level CTET system is not feasible.
  • The NCTE has officially denied recent media rumors that CTET 2025 would include senior secondary levels. Their declaration affirms that growth will only be contemplated after 2027, following the availability of the first class of graduates from the Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP).
  • CTET is still required for teaching positions in Classes 1–8 only until such an expansion occurs. Without the CTET requirement, teachers in Classes 9–12 will still be required to meet current qualifications, such as a B.Ed. degree and/or post-graduation.
  • For updates on notice releases, registration forms, timetables, and other important information, candidates are encouraged to frequently visit the official CTET website.

Is CTET Exam Date 2025 Announced?

No, the exam date will be available in the notification PDF which shall be released on the official website i.e. ctet.nic.in.

What is the Mode of the Exam?

The mode of the exam is offline. However, candidates are advised to wait for the notification to know the official details.

What is the duration of the exam ?

Both Paper I and Paper II consist of 150 multiple-choice questions, with each paper lasting 2 hours and 30 minutes. There is no negative marking.

CTET Exam Hall Ticket 2025

The CTET Admit Card is a crucial document for candidates as it serves as an entry pass to the examination center. It contains essential details such as the exam date, time, venue, and personal information of the candidate. Without the admit card, candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall, making it imperative for candidates to download and carry it on the exam day. Additionally, the admit card helps in verifying the identity of the candidate, ensuring a smooth and organized examination process.

CTET 2025 Response Sheet

Because it gives applicants an initial evaluation of how well they performed on the test, the CTET answer key is essential. The official answer key is only made available on the website. By comparing their answers with the official key, candidates can ascertain their scores and chances of being hired as instructors. Additionally, by emphasizing any mistakes or inconsistencies in the test, the answer key enables applicants to voice concerns or pose inquiries prior to the announcement of the final results. Both the review option and this transparency help to ensure a fair and accurate evaluation process.

CTET Exam Result

The CTET result is crucial as it determines candidates' eligibility for teaching positions in various government and private schools across India. A candidate can apply for primary and elementary teaching positions after receiving a passing score on the CTET, which certifies their teaching ability and knowledge. The outcome has a big influence on the candidate's job possibilities in the education industry in addition to reflecting their comprehension of pedagogical concepts and subject matter. Therefore, in order to progress in their career and fulfill the requirements specified by educational institutions, prospective teachers must obtain a satisfactory outcome.

Salary of CTET Cleared Teachers

Candidates who pass the CTET exam and secure positions as Primary Teachers (PRT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), or Post Graduate Teachers (PGT) can expect competitive CTET salaries. The pay scale for these roles ranges from ₹9,300 to ₹34,800 with different grade pays. Following the 7th CPC, the basic pay is around ₹35,400 for Primary Teachers, ₹44,900 for TGTs, and ₹47,600 for PGTs. With allowances like HRA and TA, the gross CTET salary varies from ₹40,240 to ₹53,550, while net salaries generally fall between ₹35,000 and ₹50,000, depending on the role.

CTET Exam Books for Preparation

Selecting the right CTET books is crucial for effective exam preparation, as they provide comprehensive coverage of the syllabus and help in understanding key concepts. To understand the basics of teaching and pedagogy, good CTET books provide practice problems, past years' papers, and thorough explanations. In order to improve candidates' confidence and performance on test day, they also assist in acquainting them with the format and kinds of questions that will be asked. Therefore, a candidate's success can be greatly impacted by taking the time to select the best CTET preparation books.

CTET Minimum Qualifying Marks

Candidates are said to have passed if their scores are equal to or higher than the recommended CTET cut-off. Candidates from the general category who receive 60% of the total score and those from the restricted categories who receive 55% of the total score are deemed CTET qualified. The minimal CTET qualifying scores for OBC, SC, ST, Gen, and PwD are listed below.

The CTET cut-off is a crucial benchmark as it determines whether candidates have met the minimum required scores to qualify for teaching positions in government schools. It is essential for assessing the test's level of difficulty and for helping to narrow down the pool of candidates for later stages of employment. Using their knowledge of cut-off patterns to guide their preparation strategies, candidates may concentrate on areas with higher weight in order to score over the cut-off threshold.

CTET Exam Preparation Tips

To successfully learn the extensive subject and perform well on the test, exam preparation calls for a methodical approach. To improve your readiness, consider the following CTET preparation advice:
