Note- To Part No. 2- Questions carrying a minimum of 25% marks should be answered in Sanskrit. |

The candidates appearing for the BPSC exam must be well aware of the exam pattern before beginning their preparations. The BPSC Exam Pattern is given in detail below:
Preliminary Examination
- The BPSC preliminary examination will be qualifying in nature consisting of only one paper of General Studies carrying a weightage of 150 marks.
- This BPSC exam will be conducted for 2 hours.
- There is no negative marking in the BPSC examination.
Mains Examination
- The mains exam will be held for a total of 900 marks.
- The BPSC main examination includes 4 papers which are 1 paper of General Sanskrit, 2 papers of General Studies, and 1 optional paper chosen by the candidates.
- The BPSC exam will be subjective in nature and can be attempted in English, Sanskrit or Urdu according to one’s preference.
