The SBI Clerk Local Language Test is conducted to ensure candidates are proficient in the official language of the state they're applying for. What is the SBI Clerk Local Language Test?
The SBI Clerk LPT test is the third and final stage of the selection procedure. Candidates who clear the preliminary & main examinations will only be allowed to attempt this stage. The Local Language Test is the examination in which candidates will be evaluated around language proficiency. Their skills in reading & writing in the opted local language will be tested during the round. Candidates who show valid proof that they have studied the particular local language in the 10th or 12th standard don’t need to appear for this stage/recruitment round. Candidates who provided false information to the Organization shall be disqualified from the entire selection procedure. - The SBI Clerk Local Language test is not an exhaustive examination. Candidates can clear it with much ease.
- The Local Language will be based on the Candidates choice. They will have to choose one while filing the application form.
- Candidates who do not clear the previous rounds are not eligible for the LPT.
- The candidates who do not have a certificate as proof will have to compulsorily attend this round. Ones who fail to do so shall be removed from the selection process.

SBI Clerk Local Language Test Pattern
The SBI Clerk LPT test is a written examination. This will include Comprehension, wherein candidates will have to answer certain questions by reading a paragraph/passage related to a topic. This passage/paragraph will be based on the language they selected while filling out the application form.
The Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT) is the final stage for candidates who do not have proof of studying the specified local language in their 10th or 12th standard. The LLPT assesses a candidate's reading, writing, and comprehension skills in the chosen regional language. This test is qualifying in nature and mandatory for final selection.

Type of Questions in SBI Clerk Local Language Test
As mentioned above, this examination will be a written test. The language proficiency of the Applicants will be assessed during this test. Candidates appearing for this examination should note the following type of questions that may be asked during the SBI Clerk Local Language Test.
- Identifying the incorrect spellings.
- Basic MCQs or questions based on the local language.
- Answering questions based on a paragraph/passage in the opted local language.
