BPSC AE Eligibility Criteria 2025
Before applying for the Bihar PSC AE posts, candidates should ensure that they fulfill all the eligibility criteria in terms of their age, qualification, etc. as specified in the official notification. Below are the minimum mandatory BPSC AE Eligibility Criteria –
- The age of the applicants must be between 21 to 37 years.
- Candidates must have completed graduation in the concerned engineering stream from a recognized institute.

BPSC AE Selection Process 2025
The BPSC AE selection process is curated to identify and shortlist the most eligible candidates for this post. The selection process comprises two stages as follows:
Stage 1 – Written Exam
It will be an objective-type test to assess the General and Technical aptitude of the applicants. It carries a weightage of 75% in the overall selection process/merit list preparation.
Stage 2 – Evaluation of Experience
Previous experience of the candidates carries 25% weightage in the overall selection process. The evaluation of experience will be based on the following criteria:
- Maximum preference for working on a contract basis: 5 marks will be assigned for every working year with a maximum limit of 25 marks,
- For partial years, the marks will be obtained after multiplying the number of working days for a part of a year by 5 and dividing it by 365, and proportional marks for the same will be added
